SunPower have released their time-lapse video of the construction of the Uterne II tracking solar PV plant.

While at SunPower, I negotiated the sale of the site (including the 969kW T20 plant seen in the background) to Epuron, an Australian solar and wind power developer. I then worked with Epuron to negotiate the EPC agreement for construction of the new 3.1MW project using SunPower’s T0 technology. Although the annual yield (on a kWh/kW basis) is slightly lower than the tilted T20, the site packing factor is much higher so the financial returns on the site are very good.

It’s quite a thrill to see a project that I worked on come to life!
